Our idea? Dance studios in the center of Rotterdam. A space with around 7 different studio’s of different sizes for rent. With flexible workspace for teachers to work on their administration and a place were you can get a quick and deliciously healthy bite before and after dancing. It will be an independent platform for different styles, teachers, groups and schools. Stimulating interaction between them all, through the studio’s and through the website, to get dance to a further level in Rotterdam and The Netherlands.

But most of all, to provide the space needed for people to enjoy their passion for dancing. And as Nietzsche said “I would believe only in a God that knows how to dance.” This is bigger then us!

Changing Education Paradigms

Last Wednesday, November 3rd, I was invited to, in 20 minutes, share my vision on the question stated above. “Does the youth have (the) future?”
It was a interesting evening in which more and again I realize that there’s much work to be done. I’ll blog about this another time.

The audience and guests of the evening had a few requests, like the presentation the I used. Do note that the presentation is in Dutch. I’m translating it to English soon enough. So, here it goes!

1. So that, most of, my family and friends in Brazil can understand. Keep them updated and share things with them
2. The same goes for my family and friends in Holland
3. Living in in Holland, and specially in Rotterdam, is like making a trip around the world every day. Wonderful! So, I meet a lot of people from all over the world. And until we have found the babelfish, English is the most universal language to communicate in.
4. Stray cybernauts (no, not the David Bowie cover-band), bored house-moms, horny old men, skimmers and school kids on their iPhones. They are all people and I would like to share my thoughts with them too.
5. Last, but not least. For those who are alienated from the world and can’t understand English, there’s always Google translate. It’s a great gadget, but the translations are sometimes not quite right (SO wrong). The safest is to translate from the English to any other language. You can even copy the URL (address) from a website and post it to translate. Google (The Almighty) will then translate the whole website for you. Great, right?!

There are many schools, teachers and groups, but not much space that’s right for practicing dance. And as Nietzsche said “I would believe only in a God that knows how to dance.”
